I’ve been dealing with chronic pain for a long time and have seen countless practitioners over the years, so I’ve experienced a lot of different approaches to care. I can
-
say that there is something truly special about Natalie and the way she connects and pays close attention to what I’m experiencing. I trust her completely and have learned so much about my body and why I’m feeling what I’m feeling. I joke with her that I’d like to see her everyday and I wish I could because she’s that good! If I could give her and Physical Healing more than 5 stars I would. I’m grateful I was referred here and hope this review helps bring more people to them for healing. 💕

I’ve had chronic mobility issues due to birth defects and been through all kinds of medical help for it. Usually it takes a lot of explaining on my end to talk through the
-
interconnected issues—and unfortunately Docs often have selective hearing. But Natalie took an entire hour during my eval to look at my bio mechanics and listened carefully as I told her what I thought was happening. She never disagreed or corrected me, but considered what I said about my own pain and perceived problems. As I continued to ask questions about what she noticed she was an open book not only with what she could tell was happening from my feet (where the issue was originally) all the way up through my spine, but also with the options she was weighing out and what may or may not be connected. It was so refreshing to be given a window into her process and truly gave me a vested interest in exploring and committing to my progress. In a matter of months I’ve made progress I haven’t seen since I was a kid and have a better understanding of how my body works and how to partner with it.

I am a 76-year-old health care professional who is recognized as an expert in my field, and who lectures and presents seminars both nationally and
-
internationally. Approximately 6 months ago while doing physical activity, I felt a slight pain in my right buttocks. At first the pain was only a nuisance which didn’t bother me too much. However, during the next month the pain increased dramatically to an excruciating 10+/10 especially when walking and transitioning from sitting to standing and vice versa. During this period and over the ensuing 4 months, I underwent an MRI, was examined by two different orthopedic surgeons, a chiropractor who practices kinesiology, and 3 different physical therapists, all of whom diagnosed that the problem was with the piriformis muscle. The treatment that I received ranged from steroid injections and pain killers by the orthopedic doctors, to nutritional supplements and repeated treatments from the chiropractor, to prolonged and painful stretching and strengthening exercises from the physical therapists.
The results from each of the treatments was mild, with only temporary improvement. However, the excruciating pain returned within days, and the long-term improvement was zero. I was unable to work, travel, and even walking from one room to another was extremely painful. My normal energetic lifestyle and optimistic and outgoing personality also changed dramatically. I became inactive, easily fatigued, and frustrated after 5 months of completely unsuccessful treatment, resigned and hopeless. Fortunately, a friend who is a patient of Dr. Natalie Bardelli “insisted” that I be evaluated by her before giving up completely and resigning myself to a life of inactivity and chronic pain. During Natalie’s evaluation she said something which rang true “The problem is not with your piriformis muscle. The problem is elsewhere and the pain in the muscle is only a symptom of the true underlying problem.” Natalie had me twist my torso while gently manipulating specific lumbar vertebrae. There was almost immediate lessening of the pain in my buttocks. Natalie prescribed two very simple and painless stretching exercises and sent me home. After two additional treatments plus the simple exercises, I became pain free for the first time in 6 months. Now 3 months later I remain pain free. It is a gift to be treated by a true healer. I recently returned from an extended lecture tour in Spain. I taught and explored the cities without any pain at all. I will be forever grateful to Natalie for giving me my life back.

After having my second kid and being in my early thirties with a few decades of (let’s face it) getting into pretty bad habits physically, I have finally discovered
-
the lynchpin that physical therapy is for my health. I really never thought I had a reason to do physical therapy, but honestly I wish I had been doing physical therapy MUCH sooner just to learn more about using my body efficiently and safely instead of going through life compromising through pain especially because “I’m young and can handle it”
Natalie helped me see and understand ways my body has adapted to chronic pain and why it’s all happening. I’m the kind of person who loves having the understanding of why and Natalie was always so willing to take the time at our sessions to help me understand my body, mobility, and a game plan to get myself physically back to a better place. She meets you with grace and understanding and a demeanor that I truly wish everyone in the medical world had. She genuinely cares about your needs and meets you where you’re at without judgment. Not only does she have a genuine heart of caring but she is SO knowledgeable in her field. I trust her wholeheartedly and would trust sending anyone to her. I would imagine that God is pretty picky about the angels he sends down to earth, but I’m putting my money on Natalie being one of them. Highly Recommend her as a physical therapist. She is worth your time and investment (and so is your health!) and seeing an upcoming appointment on your calendar with her is more likely to fill you with joy than dread. Don’t put off scheduling a consult or appointment any longer and just reach out.

I have been dealing with chronic pain and tightness in my left shoulder and arm for over 5 years. In those years I have seen countless doctors, chiropractors,
-
acupuncturists, physical therapists, etc. The result for all of my efforts is tens of thousands of dollars spent, 2 unnecessary surgeries, and the same exact pain and dysfunction I was trying to solve continuing to hide out in my body. When I was first referred to Dr. Bardelli, I did not hold out much hope. All the prior efforts with no real progress had me believing the pain I had been dealing with was unsolvable.
The first major difference I noticed after my initial appointment with her was how focused her attention was. I have many times felt in other physical therapy practices that I was a cog on a conveyor belt, being quickly passed from the head person to their team of interns, then to quickly wrap up that week’s exercises or stretches so the next patient can come along and the process begins again.
My first appointment with Dr. Bardelli was totally different. She listened patiently while I explained the prior years of pain and efforts to solve it. After doing some movement exercises with her in her office, she gave me a series of stretches to do at home. I quickly noticed a major improvement in my shoulder. But as has happened before, the pain that is solved in one area will move somewhere else (literally from my feet to the top of my head). She and I would continue to chase this pain around for a few weeks until she concluded that my issues were not coming directly from the areas which hurt- my shoulder, arm, and neck, but rather from an area that I did not ever thing about- my low back. At first I was skeptical because I felt no pain there, but I already had bought in and trusted her- so I decided to take a flier and give her back focused exercises a shot.
Within one week of doing the back exercises I noticed a drastic difference in how my shoulder and arm felt. For the past several weeks we have continued to adjust and add new exercises based on the progress I have made. I now am completely confident there is a way out of this and I feel better each day. Before I would feel better for a day or two, only to regress right back to where I started.
I realized it took not only her expertise, but also her unique way of managing her practice and how she interacts with patients to provide the solutions I have been searching for. I will explain subtle pain sensations and how they connect with other areas of my body. She will provide an exercise which I will work on for several days and the pain will be gone- permanently.
I feel so lucky to have met Dr. Bardelli. She came along when things felt hopeless and has completely turned around my whole life- physically for sure, but also it is nice waking up with a sense of positivity again. I have had such a complex array of problem and within a couple of months we have solved nearly all of them. I tell everyone I know who complains about pain of any sort to go see her. She has helped me more than I could ever have imagined and I know she will help you too.

Dr. Bardelli has been treating me for my TMJ issues along with a shoulder injury. As someone who also works in Healthcare, I could not speak more highly of
-
Dr. Bardelli.
She is professional and truly takes the time to listen to your story and start putting the pieces together to formulate a plan. The biggest thing that I personally noticed was that she does not just focus on your one problem or chief complaint, but instead does a whole body assessment to find any issues that may be interrelated.
Above all else, she has helped decrease my pain which is something I have been struggling with since I was a child. After many different physical therapists, specialists, and imaging services, Dr. Bardelli has by far made the biggest impact on my pain and progress and I could not be more grateful.
Highly recommend!!
